Hello all,

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July holiday and it was good to see so many members enjoying the Campground and their time on the sand. We had nearly 100% cooperation with posting your lot numbers in vehicles using the south side parking area and that helped ensure that we had adequate parking on the busy holiday weekend. We had no one setting off fireworks in camp and the GPD made several runs down the beach enforcing compliance in that area.

Will Roland and his family are moving to a new home out of state as quickly as possible. Will's service to the campground in the security position along with his wife's help moderating the private Facebook page are greatly appreciated. We all wish them only the best in their next chapter of life. Will did a great job varmint wrangling in camp and helped tremendously with getting that whole situation under control humanely.

Sheldon Mansfield, N40, has agreed to step in as the security BOD position for the remainder of the year. Sheldon brings many qualities to the position including years of experience as an LEO, working in critical positions in industry and a calm, confident demeanor. The BOD voted unanimously to approve his appointment. He can be contacted at 832-492-7886 or at Sheldon.mansfield@yahoo.com Sheldon enjoys spending a lot of time in camp when he's not at his home in Dayton. If you need help, contact him first with your concerns and if the situation is dire, contact Galveston PDHello all,

Club updates and events / TCC update-event-July 4th rule...

6/24/26
Hi all, I hope each of you had a nice Father's Day weekend.  Curtis is doing movie night by the pool featuring Jaws this Saturday night from 8:30 to 11:30. Bring your chair and favorite cold drink and come out and enjoy a timeless classic from the days before CGI and AI took over.
July 4th is coming up soon and the weather is forecast to be great and with it falling on a Saturday, a lot of folks get to enjoy a long weekend off work to spend with friends and family.  We hope to see many members in camp to spend it on the sand.  Parking will be at a premium and anyone in the south or north parking needs to have their lot number posted on the drivers' side dashboard.  Vehicles found without that information will be stickered on the drivers' side glass window near the door handle.  We keep a list of tags we sticker and repeat offenders will be booted with a cash fine on the spot of $50 to remove it.  We have adequate parking for members unless we get trespassers who ignore obvious signage poaching our parking spots.  Staff and BOD will be vigorously enforcing parking rules all weekend.
Fireworks are banned by City rules on the beach and by campground rules on our property.  Setting them off is a $500 fine either way.  We don't need an accident or another fire in camp.  This is a zero-tolerance rule.
The roll off dumpster will be removed on July 6th.  Get your spring-cleaning debris in it while you can.  The two small dumpsters will remain with twice weekly pickups.
Stay safe,

Monty Weeks, Club President

Club updates and events / agenda for the April 11th meet...
Last post by Monty - Mar 31, 2026, 08:53 AM
Hello all,

The final agenda for the General Membership meeting October 11th is posted

Meeting agenda for the April 11th, 2026 TCC general membership meeting at 10:00AM.

1.       Opening prayer

2.      President's address concerning the new land, water usage rules and

dumpster rules-Monty

3.      Vice President's address concerning building rules and permitting-Glenn

4.      Treasurer's update-2025 Financial Summary-Ron

5.      New Members update and background checks-Jamie

6.      Security Update-Will

7.      Beautification and lot maintenance-Elizabeth

8.      Entertainment Update-Curtis

The meeting should conclude by 11AM and will be held at the Mary Hobbs Pavilion Clubhouse. Bring chairs or sit in your cart.

Our annual Easter egg hunt is from 10:30 to noon at the Clubhouse. It should be lots of fun for the kiddos and big kids too.

Members are still putting household trash in the roll off dumpster. This is illegal and not only that, it stinks the place up after sitting for 3 weeks. Put household trash in the small dumpsters that get emptied twice a week.

Beware of rattlesnakes. It's prime season for them to be hiding under stairs and decks looking for shade.
